OHI provides structured, therapeutic homes for adults with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness. As always, we focus on each person's specific needs — and strengths — as he or she works toward growth and independence.
Our many homes — located in the greater Bangor region — offer a safe, comfortable environment, as well as a variety of services, including crisis prevention and intervention, medication oversight, and access to many recreational activities within the community.
OHI's direct support professionals also help each person
- Develop service plans that reflect his or her needs and goals
- Focus on life skills, so he or she can move toward the least restrictive living arrangements possible
- Coordinate needed community services — including medical, dental, psychiatric, and educational
- Obtain supported employment
