But, they were also apprehensive...[more]    OHI provides structured, therapeutic homes for adults with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness. As always, we focus on each person's specific needs — and strengths — as he or she works toward growth and independence. Our many homes — located in the greater Bangor region — offer a safe, comfortable environment, as well as a variety of services, including crisis prevention and intervention, medication oversight, and access to many recreational activities within the community. OHI's direct support professionals also help each person Develop service plans that reflect his or her needs and goals Focus on life skills, so he or she can move toward the least restrictive living arrangements possible Coordinate needed community services — including medical, dental, psychiatric, and educational Obtain supported employment
