OHI helps people with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness find work and volunteer opportunities based on their interests, strengths and abilities through Community Works! Once employed, each person receives one-on-one job coaching from trained OHI staff as he or she works toward two very specific goals: increased skills and independence on the job.
OHI also helps people with intellectual disabilities who choose retirement to remain productive and active in their communities.
OHI job development, coaching and assessment services are approved by the Bureau of Vocational Services. OHI long-term vocational support services are approved by DHHS.
