HERMON, Maine – The Bangor Breakfast Rotary Club donated $6,500 to the Brewer Area Food Pantry with money it received in the Bangor Kiwanis Bowl Off Oct. 4.

The donation is the single largest donation to the Brewer Area Food Pantry since it opened in November 2013.

A 10-member team of bowlers representing the rotary club placed fifth in the charity Bowl Off at the Family Fun Bowl in Bangor. The first place team received $11,500 and the bottom finishing team earned $2,500. All 10 teams received money from the Bangor Kiwanis to donate to the charity of their choice.

The Bangor Breakfast Rotary Club will recognize the bowling team at its next meeting Oct. 30 at Seasons Restaurant in Bangor.
