The training will explore practical strategies for creating supportive environments, promoting quality of life, managing food security concerns, and preventing crises in residential settings. Designed for direct support professionals, supervisors, and residential staff, this training aims to increase understanding, confidence, and effectiveness when supporting individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome.
Presented by Leah McAlpine: Leah has over 30 years’ experience providing safe, dignified supports to people with this rare and unique disability. Leah was also a residential supervisor, training and supporting staff who support people with PWS.
