Days 1-5 are 100% Virtual There is an expectation of the student to practice vital signs (Temperature, Blood Pressure, Pulse, Respirations) on their own time. OHI does not provide the materials to practice these skills.

An RN is required to observe them completing their 3 in-person med passes and a full set of vital signs.  The vital signs must include temperature, radial pulse, apical pulse, respirations, and MANUAL blood pressure.  The students are not allowed to use the electronic blood pressure cuffs.   The 3 in-person med passes are not new, and your RNs have been doing that.  What is new is the vital signs and making sure a MANUAL blood pressure is performed.  

If there is no RN available to the student, please do not enroll in this class.
Each student is responsible to check with their employer to ensure this will be done.
