$85.00THIS IS A BLENDED LEARNING CLASS conducted by OHI.
This course is for individuals who are currently Certified Residential Medication Aides (CRMAs). Class size is limited to a maximum of 10 participants
In addition, there is a med pass included maintaining the regulations set by The State of Maine. The med pass needs to be done with an agency RN or advance notice so that OHI can set up a virtual med pass with students.
Virtual Aspect
8:30 am: Virtual Lecture by RN Instructor
Self-study with provided materials until 2 pm.
2:00p: Final Exam.
Once the exam is completed, a MAR will be completed and sent to the instructor for review. If there are any issues with the MAR, it will be returned to the student for correction. The Training Coordinator will be available for any technical issues. The RN Instructor will be available for assistance and to answer exam content and MAR questions until 4:30 pm.
Virtual med pass Aspect
The medication pass will last 30 to 60 minutes based on the students’ needs. If the student wishes, they may complete an actual med pass with a person supported With an agency RN. If not, they may complete a mock med pass. Whichever they choose, it will be observed via Facetime or Google Meet with an RN at the student’s facility. OHI can provide virtual med passes with the instructor with 7 days notice
If an RN at the students’ agency is used for the medication pass, the student must have the Medication Checklist completed and signed by the RN. The student will also sign the form and return it along with a copy of the RN’s license to the RN instructor within 7 days of the class. The instructor will submit the information to the state. If the paperwork is not received within this timeframe, the student will not pass their recertification.
